Leelee Thames, MD, MBA is co-CEO/President of Privia Medical Group-NC and Senior Vice President of Novant Health Enterprises with a focus to transform healthcare towards value by achieving the quadruple aim. Bringing together her experience as a clinician and leadership for delivery systems and payors enhances collaboration to drive health outcomes that align providers, delivery systems, and health plans.

Partnering with physicians and providers, Dr. Thames will advance clinical excellence and care delivery, integrate sustainable population health models, and foster strategic growth that best supports autonomy / physician autonomy / clinical autonomy for private practices.

While serving Novant Health NHRMC as Chief Value Officer, she led the business and care transformation for the organization’s self-funded employee plan, ACO, Medicare Advantage plan, and Medicaid transformation program addressing social determinants of health. Prior to coming to North Carolina, she served employer groups, individual markets, Medicare, Medicaid, and ACO populations for Alaska, Arizona, California, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. Most recently, she was the National Chief Medical Officer of Steward Health Care Network’s Health Plans and MSO services.

Dr. Thames completed her medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine and is a board-certified anesthesiologist. She earned a NIH-funded fellowship in Evidence-based Clinical Practices Guidelines and completed a Physician Executive MBA from the University of Tennessee.

Jody Morris is the Co-President of Privia Medical Group – North Carolina. He brings more than 27 years of healthcare leadership experience, focusing on value-based care operations, payer contracting, strategic growth, physician practice operations management, and hospital operations management.

Prior to Privia, Jody served as Vice President of Physician Services and the Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) at Novant Health. In this role, Jody developed, launched, and lead the operations of a new CIN within Novant Health, which now includes over 4,000 employed and private practice physicians and advanced practice providers. Jody also led ChoiceHealth, Inc, a subsidiary of Novant Health that offers messenger model payer contracting and NCQA accredited delegated credentialing services to independent practitioners in a three-state region.

Jody previously served as the Vice President and COO of the Triangle Market for Novant Health, leading operations for both an acute care hospital and the Novant Health Medical practices located in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina. In addition, Jody also worked for over 6 years as the Director of Managed Care for Novant Medical Group, leading the payer contracting strategy and negotiations on behalf of all providers employed by Novant Medical Group.

Jody holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned a Master of Business Administration from Appalachian State University.
